Esses 8° é um valor excepcionalmente baixo para a cidade nessa época do ano. Sydney é uma baía e densamente urbanizada. Tudo joga contra mínimas muito baixas. O que sei de neve em Sydney é que ela já caiu nas montanhas próximas, inclusive em altitude baixas. Eu estou morando bem no centro de Sydney ( City ), como vc disse a cidade eh extremamente urbanizada, mas diferente de Sampa ( onde eu morava ) aqui eh muito arborizada, cheia de parques, o que ajuda a manter o clima ameno, alias as mudancas climaticas aqui sao muito bruscas, mas as noticias que correm aqui eh que este periodo esta sendo muito frio e seco para essa epoca do ano, o que eh uma verdade. O ideal seria uma inclinaçao de 45 gruas de SO pra NE? Não digo que seria o ideal, mas imagine o que uma parede de alguns quilômetros de altura não faz com as massas de ar provenientes do pólo! Na verdade, penso que não seja possível dizer ao certo se seria melhor ou pior, afinal não sabemos como ficaria a circulação da atmosfera sem os Andes ou com as montanhas noutra posição. Por isso mesmo, digo que é coisa para modelo. Há como se alterar os arquivos de relevo dos modelos para simular uma situação hipotética. Sonho com isso. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for damaging winds and large quantities of small hail was issued for parts of southern and mountain VIC, including Melbourne. In the 24 hours to 9am Monday, Dandenong Creek picked up 51mm. Since then to 2pm, Olinda received 24mm. On Tuesday, the low will move into the Tasman, causing winds to ease.
