Altostratus will partly or completely block the sun; in this respect it can easily be distinguished from cirrostratus. Altostratus frequently precipitates snow crystals and drizzle, but the precipitation rarily reaches ground. Acentuam as nuances dos raios solares e dão aquele aspecto de imensidão no céu. Não tem como não adorar um céu de fim de tarde coberto de altocumulustranslucidus e depois de umas 15h estourar aquela tempestade ! Abraços e parabéns!
