Relâmpagos de Catatumbo

Eu procurei pelo fórum se alguém já tinha falado sobre isso.

 

Na Venezuela, existe um lugar nas proximidades do Lago Maracaibo em que uma tempestade ocorre no mesmo lugar até quase 160 dias no ano. Chamam, em espanhol, de Relámpago del Catatumbo.

 

No wikipedia eu vi que o primeiro registro (europeu) da tempestade foi por Alexander von Humboldt, em 1826. Coloquei europeu entre parentesis porque me pergunto se há algum tipo de registro ou mitologia associado por povos da região. De qualquer modo, essa tempestade itermitente já existe faz bastante tempo.

 

Do wikipedia também:  It originates from a mass of storm clouds at a height of more than 1 km, and occurs during 140 to 160 nights a year, 10 hours per day and up to 280 times per hour.
