Data from an Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft and Doppler radar data indicate that Ida's maximum sustained winds at landfall were estimated to be 150 mph (240 km/h). PabloMartins Posted August 29, 2021 at 05:52 PM Share Posted August 29, 2021 at 05:52 PM NHC não deu upgrade para Categoria 5 pois não encontraram dados suficientes que justificasse o upgrade, quando atinge a categoria máxima geralmente eles dão uma volta 360 em torno da parede do olho pra verificar se foi apenas um registro isolado, e assim como vimos em Laura ano passado, Jose (2017), e outros casos, foram momentos isolados e a agência não achou o suficiente pra classificar como tal. O que me impressiona é que na manhã exata do aniversário de 16 anos do furacão Katrina, outro furacão (até mais forte) atinge a mesma área e pior, no segundo ano consecutivo a Luisiana tem um furacão de categoria 4 em seu litoral, ano passado com Laura e agora com Ida. Outra coisa que chamou atenção é que até ontem à tarde, eu já estava achando que não iria conseguir impressionar tanto, devido as irregularidades que o olho estava tendo ontem...
