For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical 
Storm Gonzalo, located about 100 miles east of Trinidad.

The National Hurricane Center is also issuing advisories on 
recently upgraded Hurricane Hanna, located over the western Gulf of 
Mexico near the southeast coast of Texas.

1. A tropical wave is producing an area of disorganized showers and 
thunderstorms a few hundred miles southwest of Cabo Verde Islands.  
The wave is expected to move westward at about 15 mph during the 
next several days, and a tropical depression could form by early 
next week when the system reaches the western tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent.

Esse furacão não pode ser subestimado. Ganhou força rapidamente e não vi tanta atenção dada a ele. Espero que os moradores do sul do Texas levem a sério.

Gonzalo segue morto!

INVEST 92L segue sendo previsto para ser um poderoso furacão nos próximos dias.

UKMET já tem o ciclone com pressão de 961 mbar em 144 horas (modelo costuma ser muito conservador*)

A NOAA National Ocean Service observation observation platform at 
Bob Hall Pier on Padre Island recently reported a wind gust of 68 
mph (109 km/h).

NOAA buoy 42020 recently reported a minimum pressure of 978.1 mb 
(28.88 inches) inside the eye of Hanna.

Gonzalo vai fazer landfall em Trinidad, que muitos geógrafos consideram América do Sul. 

5 tempestades tropicais e 1 furacão atingiram a Ilha de Trinidad desde 1850 segundo o arquivo do NHC.

Agora o Atlântico tem 70% de entregar o recorde com o maior número de tempestades nomeadas no mês de Julho da história, empatando assim, com 2005. Lembrando que a comparação entre ambas temporadas até o momento chega a ser ridícula.

A TCOON observing station at Laguna Madre, Texas, recently reported 
a sustained wind of 63 mph (102 km/h) and a gust to 79 mph (128 
km/h).

Data from the Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft indicate 
that the minimum central pressure inside the eye of Hanna is 973 mb 
(28.73 inches).
