Jorn Olsen, depois da uma forte tempestade, tirou estas fotos e enviou-as a Universidade de Nebraska, que as colocou no link abaixo. São formadas quando o ar já está saturado de gotículas de chuva ou cristais de gelo e começam a "afundar". O pior da tempestade geralmente já passou quando este tipo de nuvem se forma.
